Dear Mountain Film Community,

Here we go again! Can you hear the call of the mountains?

Preparations for the 21st Tegernsee International Mountain Film Festival have already begun. This is our moment to invite all authors, directors and producers to submit their latest mountain films to our competition.

Short films or cinematic formats, documentaries, reports, portraits, animated and feature films – the mountain film genre knows many formats! Our thematic spectrum includes alpine sports and adventure, mountain life and culture as well as the big issues of nature and ecology. In addition to the main prizes, we award the best children’s film.

Simply register your films online on our homepage or via the International Alliance for Mountain Film’s multi-submission-form.

Registration deadline is 31st May 2024.

If you have any questions, please contact the festival office team at any point in time.

Awards Ceremony 2023

The highlight of every film festival is when the winners are announced. Not everyone has the possibility to be in the theatre at the awards-presentation. Bayerischer Rundfunk, the festival’s sponsor, recorded the award ceremony. You can see the awards ceremony 2023 here…
